Do I need to get vaccinated before travelling to India?
You are not required to do that, but it is highly recommended.
Be sure that you are vaccinated with the basic types of vaccine. (MMR vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine...)
There can be a risk of getting hepatitis C, typhoid, cholera, hepatitis B, malaria, rabies.
Therefore, our advice is to get vaccinated, take antimalarial meds, eat and drink safely, prevent bug bites, keep away from animals, reduce your exposure to germs and avoid sharing body fluids.
Zika virus is a risk in India!
